Just wondering ... for all of you who thinks this case should be dropped: at what point do you think all of this should be forgotten and Polanski's guilt would be absolved? A year after fleeing the US? Five years? Ten years? Twenty? Because I really am not sure what the rules are for a convict fleeing the country, and how much time must pass before the sentence is considered null and void.
And what if the crime was something you found more offensive than the anal rape of a 13-year-old girl? Would you feel different if the girl was 12? Or 11, or 10?
